Christmas 2008

Merry Christmas from the Tenney's. We feel blessed to have each other and so many great people in our lives. We have certainly experienced Heaven's help this past year and have a strong conviction that God watches over us.

Ian's 5th B-Day

You know, you can take the boy out of the farm, but you can't take the farm out of the boy. I am referring to my husband. He grew up in a small town in Arizona. When he comes up with a way to make something that is out of the norm, I call it "Mickey Mousing" Well, this was a doozy. For Ian's birthday, my husband brought a whole new meaning to the words, "Car Pool". He lined his truck with a heavy tarp, clamped it down, and filled it with water. The kids all climbed in and had a blast. The dad's couldn't stop smiling either.

"Hum dee dum dee dum......"
YES!!!! I Gothch!

Happenings

Last Monday, my youngest child went to Kindergarten. It sure is quiet around here. Do any of you moms out there have any ideas for how to cope with and enjoy this new adventure called... solitude.

Our Family Theme

Hello to all you bloggers. We are the Richard Tenney family. We have a family theme we want to tell you about. Those of you who know Richard know that he is an airplane fanatic. He started young with his fascination, and was especially crazy about hellicopters. He now drives out to the local airport every Saturday where he hob knobs with former WWII pilots and such. He and some friends established their own LLC, and own a small plane together. It is STILL a work in progress. I guess every good man I know has a hobby that keeps him out of trouble. The great thing about this hobby is that it also teaches my kids some important life lessons like;

Always eat bananas before you take off in a plane; they taste the same coming up that they do going down.

Stripping 7 layers of paint off of an old airplane is not as much fun as even pretending to fly.

Going out to the airport with dad so you can raid the Jolly Rancher candy is truly one of the great joys of life.

And..If you are going to fly anyway, you might as well fly high.
